HighCo : Frédéric Chevalier is appointed chairman of the supervisory board and Richard Caillat becomes chairman of the management board of Highco
During its meeting today, the supervisory board of HighCo appointed Frédéric Chevalier as chairman, succeeding Nicolas Butin, who will become vice-president of the supervisory board.
Frédéric Chevalier , 41 years old, founded HighCo in 1990 and has turned it into one of the European leaders in the marketing services sector. He was until today chairman of the management board, sharing the group management with Richard Caillat since 2002.
As chairman of the supervisory board, Frédéric Chevalier will participate in the implementation of HighCo’s development strategy and ensure that corporate governance rules are applied. With a stake slightly above 5 %, Frédéric Chevalier also remains HighCo’s second-biggest shareholder after WPP Group PLC.
Richard Caillat will be chairman of HighCo’s management board. Richard Caillat, 40, joined HighCo in 1991. He became a member of the management board in 1992, sharing the group management since 2002.
This reorganization of responsibilities occurs as HighCo completes its strategic refocusing on its “Solutions” division in Europe and “Marketing Communications” division in France and posts an improvement of its operational result.
Frédéric Chevalier declared: “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved over the last 16 years since HighCo was founded. The group, driven by its core values of innovation, pragmatism and exemplarity, has become a key player in the marketing services industry. With the recent disposals of our “Marketing Communications” activities outside France and the improvement of our operating margins, it seemed to me an appropriate time to reorganize responsibilities. It is a natural development. As chairman of the supervisory board and a significant shareholder in HighCo, I shall remain very involved in the life of the group. Richard Caillat, who has worked alongside me for 15 years, can count on my support to pursue the development of HighCo with ambition and energy”.
